Yung Suk Kim

 

Yung Suk Kim, editor of the Journal of Bible and Human Transformation, is Assistant Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University, in Richmond, Virginia. Kim is the author of Christ’s Body in Corinth: The Politics of a Metaphor (Fortress Press, 2008) and A Theological Introduction to Paul’s Letters (Cascade Books, 2011). His forthcoming book deals with theory and criteria of biblical interpretation: Biblical Interpretation: Theory, Process, and Criteria (Pickwick Publications, 2012). He is a recipient of the Lilly Theological Scholars Grant for 2011-12. The project title is “A Study of the ‘I-am sayings’ of Jesus in the Fourth Gospel in a Pluralistic Life Context of America Today.” He is also editing 1-2 Corinthians (Texts@Contexts) by Fortress Press, and Reading Ahn Byung-Mu's Minjung Theology in the Twenty-First Century: Selected Writings by Ahn Byong-Mu and Modern Critical Responses by Pickwick Publications.
